DAB-FM Aerials

We offer a wide range of radio aerial solutions that will meet most of the requirements you may have.

It’s worth knowing . . .
Usually, the aerials provided by hifi / receiver manufacturers are not sufficient to pick up a good FM/DAB signal. If radio is important to you, it is worth investing in a professionally installed external DAB or FM aerial. This will ensure you get a far stronger and stable signal.

Types of DAB/FM aerials
There are 6 main types of DAB/FM aerials. These are:

  1. A half wave open FM dipole -  Best for combined DAB/FM signal when mounted vertically
  2. A folded FM dipole – Strongest made aerial, average 1db gain over the half wave type, but not as strong on the DAB reception pick up.
  3. A 3 element FM aerial – Best for weak signal areas of FM.
  4. An FM “Omni”, - No additional benefits to the aerials above. It maybe worth noting, the BBC “do not recommend circular aerials for national FM broadcasts”.
  5. A DAB dipole,- Better reception for DAB than a half wave but not brilliant for FM reception.
  6. A 3 element DAB aerial – The best for very low signal areas of DAB but not good for FM reception.
