There are 3 digi boxes available depending on the level of functionality you require:
Standard Sky

The standard sky box is the entry level receiver which allows you to experience the world of digital TV. It provides you access to a wide range of Free to Air channels, subscription digital channels and interactive services. Parents can also restrict access to specific channels by locking them with a PIN number.
Through the Sky Standard Box, you can view channels by choosing to subscribe to a number of entertainment, sports and movie packages. It offers excellent value for money for those looking to enter the world of digital entertainment channels at a relatively low cost. The Standard Sky box allows you to subscribe to any of the Sky Digital channels with the exception of the high definition channels.

Sky+
Features at a glance
- Record an average of 40 hours of television
- Simple one touch recording
- Pause and rewind live TV
- Record entire series with Series Link
- Remote record online or from your mobile
- Sky Anytime – on demand programmes ready to watch
In addition to all the features available on a standard Sky box, you can record one channel and also watch another channel at the same time. You can also record two programmes at once whilst watching a third programme you recorded earlier. The upgraded programme guide also lets you timer a programme you see in guide with one touch of the record button.
You can also send a text message to your digibox and it will record it for you. This service is available when you register for the ‘Sky by mobile’ service on the Sky website.
The Sky+ box also has a service called ’Sky anytime’. This is a selection of programs that are ready to start when you are. The selection of programmes is determined by your subscription. You just highlight the programme and press start, that’s it.

Sky HD

If you have a TV that’s high definition ready*, then the Sky+ HD Box will give you the ability to access a wide range of channels and programmes in High definition. The enhanced picture quality means brighter colours, sharper focus and greatly defined images. Sound quality is also improved and if you have a home cinema surround sound system, you will be able to experience near cinematic quality.
In addition, you will also be able to view standard definition channels. The Sky+ HD Box has all the functionality of Sky+ but with double the hard drive storage.
